L'an 1845, le premier du mois de novembre (…) par-devant nous Bourgmestre officier de l'état civil de la commune de Hachÿ (…), est comparu Nicolas Jacque, âgé de 33 ans, journalier en cette commune, lequel nous a présenté un enfant du sexe masculin né aujourd'huÿ (…) en son domicil à Fouches de luÿ déclarant et de Cathrin Lacroix son épouse sans état et auqulle il a déclaré vouloir donner le prénom de Nicolas. In the name of God Amen !
I Nicolaus Jacque of the Town of Belgium in the County of Ozaukee State of Wisconsin, being of full age, and of sound disposing mind, memory and understanding, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form Following that is to say: First I will and direct, that the expenses of my funeral, and all my just debts be fully paid out of my personal Estate, as soon as may be after my decease. Secondly I hereby give, devise and bequeath into my beloved wife Catharina Jacque all the Following Real Estate lying and being in Town of Belgium, County and State aforesaid known and described as follows to wit: The South East Quarter of the South East Quarter of Section N°34, Township N°12 North of Range N° 22 East containing 40 acres To have and to hold the same with all the appartenances thereinto(?) belonging into her, her heirs and assigns forever. Thirdly I hereby give, devise and bequeath into my beloved wife Catharina Jacque aforesaid the right of profession and all the use profit and income of the Following described piece of land to wit: The North West Quarter of the South West Quarter of Section 26 Town 12 Range 22 aforesaid for and during the time of her natural life and after the decease of her, the said Catharina Jacque to descend in even and equal shares with my beloved children in whom I hereby reserve the fee simpel to the said NW1/4 of SQ1/4 of S.26 P(?)? 12 R.22.
Fourthly and lastly I hereby give and bequeath into my beloved wife all the rest and residue of my Estate both real and personal of which I may die professed(?) of also all the goods and chattels of what ever kind and description, to have and to hold the same after payment of my debts as aforesaid into her the said Catharina Jacque for her (?) use and benefit forever.
I also appoint her the said Catharina Jacque sole Executrix of this my last will and testament herby revoking all former wills by me made.

The Petition of Catharina Jaque of the Town of Belgium respectfully represents that Nicholas Jaque late of the Town of Belgium deceased on or about the 16th day of March 1859 at his residence in said Town of Belgium died testate, as petitioner believes; that the instrument in writing herewith presented to this Court, is the last will and testament of said deceased, as petitioner believes and that she the said partitioner is the identical Caharina Jaque named and appointed in and by said last will and testament as executrix thereof, that the heirs at Law of said deceased are all named in said last will, one heir by name and the other heirs under the appellation "my beloved children" as petitioner believes, that the names of said children of said deceased are as follows to wit: Nicholaus Jaque of about 15 years of age, John Jaque of about 12 years of age, John Jaque of about 10 years of age, Nicholaus Jaque of about 8 years of age, Jacob Jaque of about 6 years of age and Katharina Jaque of about 4 years of age and that said heirs and children reside with her the said petitioner at the Town of Belgium in said County. Your petitioner would further represent that the goods chattels and personal Estate of said deceased amount to about 200 dollars
Your partitioner would pray, that a day be appointed for hearing the proofs of said last will and testament, and that public Notice thereof be given to all persons interested, as this Court shall direct and that upon the proof and allowance of said will a Decree (?) Estate of said deceased to the heirs named in said last will be issued and made according to the rules and practice of this Court.
