The Petition of Catharina Jaque of the Town of Belgium respectfully represents that Nicholas Jaque late of the Town of Belgium deceased on or about the 16th day of March 1859 at his residence in said Town of Belgium died testate, as petitioner believes; that the instrument in writing herewith presented to this Court, is the last will and testament of said deceased, as petitioner believes and that she the said partitioner is the identical Caharina Jaque named and appointed in and by said last will and testament as executrix thereof, that the heirs at Law of said deceased are all named in said last will, one heir by name and the other heirs under the appellation "my beloved children" as petitioner believes, that the names of said children of said deceased are as follows to wit: Nicholaus Jaque of about 15 years of age, John Jaque of about 12 years of age, John Jaque of about 10 years of age, Nicholaus Jaque of about 8 years of age, Jacob Jaque of about 6 years of age and Katharina Jaque of about 4 years of age and that said heirs and children reside with her the said petitioner at the Town of Belgium in said County. Your petitioner would further represent that the goods chattels and personal Estate of said deceased amount to about 200 dollars
Your partitioner would pray, that a day be appointed for hearing the proofs of said last will and testament, and that public Notice thereof be given to all persons interested, as this Court shall direct and that upon the proof and allowance of said will a Decree (?) Estate of said deceased to the heirs named in said last will be issued and made according to the rules and practice of this Court.

- [S22] Ancestry, 18 juillet 1889, Nicolas Jacob Jacque (will, Port Washington, Ozaukee, Wisconsin, US, 1889).
We, Nicolas Jacob Jacque, husband, and Catherine Jacque, born Reding, wife, both of the town of Port Washington, Ozaukee County, State of Wisconsin, being both of sound mind, memory and understanding, do hereby jointly & severably make, publish & declare this our last will & testament (mutually agreed in (?))in manner following, that is to say:
First: Whoever of us both dies first, gives, devises & bequeathes to the surviving one, all & any of our real estate as well as also all of our personal estate without any exception.
Second: The surviving one, father or mother, meaning husband or wife, shall be appointed by the County Court Executor on (?) as the base mey be, & alas guardian of our children & as such Executor on (?) and guardian shall be obliged & have to pay out of our estate, real or personal, the sum of eight hundred ($800-) dollars to each of our children named Anna, Katherine & Carolina & to our son Peter the sum of one thousand ($1000-) dollars, but in either one not sooner than each of our named four children shall become of age.
Third: The surviving one, husband or wife, as the case may be, shall in his or her capacity (…) to settle all our debts & (?) all outstanding (…) notes without any order of the County Court.
In witness whereof we have here onto set our names & seals this 18th day of July A.D.1889.

The above & foregoing instrument in writing, transmiting(?) of one sheet of paper was now here published & declared by Nicolas Jacob Jacque and Catherine Jacque, his wife, to be their last will & testament mutually made & agreed (?),and the same was signed by them in our presence, and we on the request of the two testators have signed our names hereto as attesting witnesses in their presence and in presence of each other this 18th day of July A.D.1889 at Port Washington.
