That on this day, to wit: the 20th of September in the year of our Lord 1847 and the 72nd of the Independence of the United States of America, before me, (…) duly commissioned and sworn RECORDER OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS in and for the Parish and City of Orleans, personally appeared, Mrs Widow François Künsch, born Mary Roller, residing on Chartres Street between Toulouse and St Louis Streets, in the first (…) by these présents declares that her husband, François Künsch, a native of Olm, Grand Dukedom(?) of Luxembourg, aged about 25 years, a tailor, died on the 4th instant (September 4th 1847) in this city of New Orleans. Deponent being uable to write has made her ordinary mark. (…)

I Mary Reding of the Town of Belgium, Ozaukee County, State of Wisconsin being at present confined but thank be Allmighty God for the same, of sound mind, me, Mary & understanding, do hereby make & publish this as my last will & testament in manner & form following, to wit:
I recommend my soul in the hands of my Redeemer & hope that he will save her.
My earthly estate I divide as follows to wit:
A) I give, devise & bequeath into my beloved husband, Nicholas Reeding, all my right, title interest claim & demand & the whole estate described as follows, to wil:
- the North half of the North East Quarter of the South East Quarter, & the West half of the South West Quarter of Section Number 21 & the North West Quarter of the South West Quarter of the Section Number 22 all in Township N° 12 North of Range N° 22 East in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin containing 140 acres more or less & further give & bequeath into my beloved husband Nicholas Reeding all my personal property of what soever & (?) & nature the same may be.
B) I give devise & bequeath into my beloved son, John Kiensh all my right title and interest & the whole estate described as follows, (?):
- the North half of the South East Quarter of the South East Quarter, and the East half of the South half (1/2) of the South East Quarter of the South East Quarter of Section N° 21, in Township N° 12 North, of Range N° 22 East, containing 30 acres, be it more or less. Also one cone & bedding for one bed.
I recommend my soul in the hands of my Redeemer, the most mercyfull God. I wish from the depth of my heart, that the blessing of the most High may dwell with my husband & beloved children & I hope to see them again in the world to come. I appoint my beloved husband Nicholas Reeding my sole Executor & revoke hereby all my former wills & testament.
In witness whereof I have hereinto set my hand & seal this 28th day of April A.D.1862.

To the Judge of said Court:
The Petition of Nicholas Reding of the Town of Belgium, Ozaukee County, Wis. respectfully represents that Mary Reding late of the Town, County & State aforesaid deceased on the 30th day of April A.D.1862, at her residence in the County aforesaid died & testate leaving a last will testament as your petitioner believe; that said deceased left a husband, your petitioner & two children to wit: John Kinsch 21 years old & Cath Reding about 9 years old having with your petitioner constituting the family of said deceased, who are all mentioned in said last will, and that she left no more children, that the instrument herewith presented is the last will & testament of said deceased & that your petitioner is the executor maned & appointed in & by said last will;
said deceased left no debts due and unpaid
Your petitioner being desirous that the said last will of said deceased be legally proved & admitted to probate would pray that a time & place be fixed by this Court to hear the proof of said last will & that the said last will be approved in due course of law and pursuant to the statute in such case made and provided, and according to the rules and practice of this Court.
